Having got my Victor Meldrew grumpy head on "I don't believe it !"( I took this snap of a photographer trying getting a better shot , what I couldn't understand was all he had to tdo was move right 10 feet to be on the long mound at Manchesters aviation park , the table and seats were left muddy and unuseable . also its bad luck to put your shoes on the table , well it was as far as this chap was concerned , he left his phone on it and wandered off

Nice overhang - I don't mean the table.
Perhaps he stands on the furniture at home.

The same bloke was on the table on Friday or a bloke with the same table manners as him. Regards Beemer.

This bench/table combination offers the least obstructed photos of taxiway alpha since those dreadful red and white posts were installed alongside the perimeter road. If the photography platforms had been built high enough in the first place, with a bit of forethought to allow decent photos without a lot of fencing and other foreground clutter, nobody would need to risk their neck climbing on whatever is available to secure an acceptable vantage point.

I know we all want uncluttered shots but this guy is just showing a complete lack of common decency. Bet he'd try and claim if he fell, there's not a "Do not stand on table" notice A set of aluminium step ladders is always a viable alternative, mine are always in the boot. Agree with not pixallating his face, name and shame, although that probably breaches human rights somewhere down the line! GC

What a complete dingleberry. Show his face then someone may recognise his face, send me his address then a few of us can all go round his house and stand on his dining room table while he eats his Sunday tea? I've just been mucking out the horse so I'll put my boots on to add a slight tang.
I overheard the other day that the mounds are to be raised to aid better photos, I don't know why they didnt do this in the first place.
I totally find the pixallated man's manners to be disgusting however its not just spotters on the AVP but 99% of the time its the non-spotters, you know, the ones that can't tell the difference between a 737 and a Tristar, the people that call our hobby sad etc.... yet these same people decend on mass to the AVP every weekend to watch planes. It's their etiquette that annoys me, they can see the place is busy and they stand at the fence, all I'm trying to do is take a pic, wht do they do? stand closer together and prevent me doing my hobby! Then you have the dingleberries that have no idea how to control their kids, allow them to climb over the fences right where I'm stood and they use my camera bag as a trampoline. Oh, then there are the non-spotters that can clearly see I'm taking a photo then they decide they want to stretch their arm and point to a plane while they talk in loud voices how they are going on holiday next week "on that big one there". Grrrrrrrrrr.
Rant over

"A set of aluminium step ladders is always a viable alternative, mine are always in the boot." Correct me if I am wrong GC, but are ladders not allowed on the AVP. Regards Beemer.

Hmm, he's obviously never done a weight and balance course, either. I reckon if he keeps on doing that he'll be an excellent candidate for 'You've been framed' ;D

I hope the phone was handed in some distance away as found property. Always works with found mobiles to call Australia or India and leave line open.

I find that the 'Bench table configuration' could be an answer to our unrestricted visual access dreams , we could all carry one on our roofracks , and no jobsworth would realize we have outsmarted the 'no ladder rule' .... for those who dont have a car theres the camping version that folds into a suitcase , ideal for tight b*******s like me who park outside the 'Romper' and walkin for nowt .
