Anyone help with the identification of a Sea King in a grey scheme flying over Wigan today about 1.30pm?
I wonder if this is the same as the one Beemer saw on Monday heading back the way it came as this was heading south west
Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian, According to my SBS-Reporter ZD627 was picked up in that area between 1331-1352hrs. today. Whereas ,the one on Monday seen by Beemer was ZE426. H.T.H.
Happy Spotting. DOUGLAS12(Norman).

Spotted this about 3.30pm today 24th, heading from Woodvale direction towards West Kirby. Had to stop driving and jump out to grab the shot as it was out sea side of coast road.

I was operating just east of Southport on Wednesday (23rd) morning and Warton called me with Sea King traffic (Avenger 7) although i never managed to see it. With all these Sea King sightings I wonder if there has been something going on at Altcar. I do remember that Lynx and Sea King have been used for Special Forces exercises out of Altcar, but these are usually NOTAM'd. ....just a thought!
Cheers

Avro. You are correct in your assumption that these aircraft were operating out of Altcar (and my bedroom at times ). Indeed I was surprised that no Notam was issued.

ZE426, the one I saw o/h Parbold, was one I saw previously at one of the exercises at Altcar 04-10-2008. Regards Beemer.
