Your Cherokee with a blue tail that looked like G-HALL was most likely PA-28R G-HALC which is on the apron as I type.

Saw Ascot 308 (?) make 2 low approach/go around this evening.
Also saw a very dodgy looking landing by a Ryanair 738 at 1630 hrs, appeared to land on main gear AND nosewheels at the same time!?!
