Hi Folks,
The following, which has been forwarded to me, may be of interest.....
Dear Enthusiast,
On Friday 2nd March, Monarch will be running our 3rd Enthusiast Event. As a previous traveller on one of these events, or someone that has shown interest in one of our earlier events, you are amongst the first to hear about our next Enthusiast Day.
Departing Manchester on a Monarch Airlines A320-200 we will travel to Chester / Broughton / Hawarden (CEG) – the home of Airbus in the UK. This will be a fantastic opportunity to fly in and out of an airfield that is rarely open to passenger traffic. In partnership with Airbus, I have managed to arrange for a unique behind-the-scenes visit to the three factories at their UK site; the A380 wing plant, the single-aisle flowline, and the brand new A350 plant. Each of our guests will have the opportunity to visit two of the three factories, as well as watching a presentation and taking place in a Q & A session with the Airbus team. Airbus will also be providing a buffet lunch to ensure that you are all sustained for the afternoon’s activities.
On our return to Manchester in the evening, there will be the opportunity to visit the Monarch Aircraft Engineering Hangar which will be playing host to two or three airliners undergoing maintenance.
I have attached a copy of the itinerary for you to examine – a copy of which will be on the Monarch website from tomorrow (Tuesday 31^st January). Bookings must be made via the Monarch call centre.
I look forward to seeing some of you in March.
kind regards
Toby
