Great pics Stemai!
I had a simillar idea recently with a view to taking some "artistic" atmospheric night shots...full moon rising behind bare tree branches etc.,but I ran into a slight problem.
For a couple of years now,I have been using a Canon PowerShot SX210IS compact digital camera, which I find very satisfactory under most conditions.
However, although there is a menu option to adjust the self-timer volume,I cannot find how to activate the self-timer.
I have scrolled through the menu several times and set the camera up in all the available modes but ST operation continues to elude me.
So no nice lunar pictures!
Does anybody out there have one of these cameras and actually know how to use it?
Thanks for any help,Keith

Some good shots there!
I know it may be a hindrance but try setting the iso to 800 when taking these type of photo's, as it helps to reduce the grain in the photo's from the higher iso settings.

Very nice....some are a little overexposed...can be fixed in Post processing, but it's usual for that to happen in night shots as the camera's metering for the dark areas as well. It's worth manually underexposing it by a stop or two just to calm the highlights I once went out in Liverpool at night taking photos....was constantly worried about getting my gear nicked.... There are some really nice locations though mictheslik.zenfolio.com/p43632227.mic
