Two Merlins (?) callsign "Spectre" are inbound to Woodvale from the south routing Neston-Seaforth.

That answerd the question of the pair which I saw cross the river this morning heading Seaforth way or has there been more than one pair. Mine spotted between 10 and 11am

Biggles, the pair between 10 and 11am looked more like Bell 412 variety to me

Reported on Fightercontrol that a pair of Army Bell 212s (Based at Middle Wallop) headed towards Fulwood Barracks in Preston at 2:40 this afternoon, so they were in the area .mic

Chaps, these were 2x Shawbury based Griffins of 60 Sqn.

Thanks Alex, I thought mine may have been Shawbury based units but where too far away from my location to do a positive ID apart from the colour but even that couldn`t be seen clearly.

For anyone interested in trying to tie up identities for any of these helicopters,the Merlins were a good deal later that the Griffins and would have arrived at Woodvale around 1410.
