Yes, excellent shots. For me, the interesting thing is how little that part of Budapest has changed over the years. I went there quite often during the 70s, and I've been there a few times since the collapse of the Eastern Bloc, and it's one of the few places that hasn't changed. Incidentally, Hungary always had the best cuisine by a long way in the 70s - I think it must be part of their culture.

Excellent photos. You have motivated me to make a long overdue visit. I worked in Czechoslovakia for 6 years in the 90's before the country split up. I travelled extensively in the whole "Eastern Bloc" region but never got to Budapest. It was always going to be "next trip"......and then the job finished. I agree the cuisine is excellent, based upon my experiences of Hungarian style cellar restaurants and clubs in Bratislava.
