Bit quieter today; Netjets 125 CSDRD "NJE5WU" paid its second visit of the week at lunchtime; over at Manx Flyers are Cessna 172 GOSKY amd PA28 Warrior GBNZZ.
Elsewhere, "Trent 04" was heard entering the zone and obviously landed at a private site (possibly the second "Helimed" ?)
Meanwhile a field next to Robinsons Catering outlet in Cooil Road has been set up for Helicopter Flights - this afternoon a sign announced "bookings here" but there was only a tent and a windsock present, no aircraft.

Easyjet today was G-EZPG. The new Norwich service was operated by Suckling Dornier 328 G-BWWT. Also to note the reason why many Flybe flights were delayed today was G-JECH was parked on stand 10 when a baggage car collided with the aircraft. Fire services were alerted and a Ambulance attended the scene.

Because of the delays Flybe drafted in Embraer 170 G-FBJE (First visit?) to cover an inbound Manchester flight, I think it went out empty but not sure. Another late arrival was regular Cessna 525 G-TBEA, in around 19:30 now outside EAM. Also in was PA-28 G-MALA, parked on main apron unusually, departed at 20:15.
The chopper for pleasure flights will probably be G-LIMO (did them in 2008) and is still sat on Victor.

GLIMO is confirmed as the joyflights chopper.
Bit quiet today with only PA32 GSIMY and Rockwell 114 GEMCA so far.
Small Planet is due back from Verona tonight (at 2200 I recall) - does anyone know if the planned direct holiday to Dubrovnik is going ahead tomorrow, and if so, on what ?

Marquis asked : " does anyone know if the planned direct holiday to Dubrovnik is going ahead tomorrow, and if so, on what ?"
I have it from a travel agent that the operator cancelled the Dubrovnik trip back in December. Anyway there will be a Monarch flt departing 11:00 and the new BA Ldn city service lunchtime tommorrow

Monarch Madeira flight was operated by A320 G-MONX, presumably its first visit, arriving in at 11:00 and departing at almost 12:00. The BA London City inaugural flight was Embraer 170 G-LCYF, arriving 25 minutes early at 12:45, but departing almsot 30 minutes late at 14:20. Also M-YCEF Hawker 800XP arrived at 15:00.
Additonal light aircraft in today were Cirrus N147LD, PA-28 G-BNJT, Beech Bonanza G-FOZZ (departed at 13:50) and Rockwell Commander N6088Z arrived at 13:15.

Another interesting day ! First in was the Aeronavale Xingu No 71 as "French Navy 5021" bringing in a party of dignitaries to participate in a nautical ceremony, parking on V and due to stay until 1700hrs.
Closely followed by "Typhoon 2" - ZK331 coded QO-E - on an approach and (nice, low) go-around - no doubt photos will appear shortly !
BA then brought in GLCYE from London City; wingletted Beech 200 DIVAN arrived about 1330; Citationjet 2 DIOHL is on approach at 1445, as is "Castle 05" coming in for fuel.

"Castle 05" was Agusta 109A GTELY; the Xingu actually left just before 1600.
Lufthansa used to be quite regular with their training Cheyennes but are not often seen here with Citationjets, so "DLH9911" D-ILHE was nice to see albeit only with a couple of approaches and a touch-and-go at about 1830.

And here are some of today's photos; EMB Zingu of 28F Aeronavale was first in, with VIPs for the 'unveiling' of the Mona's Queen anchor memorial - it was sunk at Dunkirk in 1940, and the French retreived the anchor last year. Very close behind was 3 Sqdn Typhoon ZK331, which did an overshoot. BA Cityflyer pleased us all by sending a different airframe on their second LCY rotation, G-LCYE. Repainted Hawker M-YCEF can be seen holding for it to land, and then departed to BHX. Area V filled up with visitors after lunch, King Air D-IVAN foremost (apparently only the second example in the world to have 5-blade props!); then G-TELY A109 of Castle Air; then Citation D-IOHL; and Zingu 71 bringing up the rear. Zingu 71 had to be marshalled out, and sadly for some it left 'early' as French clocks work on a different Summer Time to ours. Metroliner EC-GPS can be seen still rotting away in the distance. Finally, the late afternoon sun was just catching G-JECH is such a way as to highlight the damage caused by the baggage vehicle recently. The Q400 remains grounded and stranded here. Note the felt-tip marks added to identify the damaged frames etc.

Kingair D-IVAN and CJ3 D-IOHL are still parked on Victor Easyjet was G-EZFA, Does anyone know the Reg of todays British airways?

The BA EMB 175 was G-LCYE again.
Challenger G-HARK was on H this morning and departed about 1200 noon. There was also a G - reg Citation in about 1900 last night.
A Bolkow Monsun D-E?HW parked at Manx Flyers just after lunch, and the Blue Islands schedule was flown by ATR G-DRFC in their full colours.

The Bolkow B209 Monsun 160 is reg D-EGHW ; possibly a 1st time visitor but the aircraft has turned up in S England from time to time in the last couple of years.
Monsun 160 reg D-EFJG has turned up at Ronaldsway in May 09 and Apr 11. It would be nice if there was German air rally in the next few days ;D
