George Jones attended the open day at the Michael Beetham Conservation Centre at RAF Cosford on 13th May 2012. Two long-term projects and a number of new arrivals were on show. Wellington T.10 MF628 is undergoing deep conservation work. The Hampden TB.1 P1344 is making slow progress, the front end quite recognisable. The Kestral FGA.1 XS695 remains dismantled Under wraps is new arrival, the EAP, ZF534 from Loughborough. Note the stripped section of Wellington showing the geodetic structure clearly. The Harrier GR.9A ZG477 is now on public display in the Museum, retaining special No.1 Squadron markings. Outside is the dismantled Nimrod R.1. Putting it back together will be a massive task. Newly arrived Hercules C.3 provides a dominating presence outside the museum. During the afternoon, BBMF Spitfire MK356 displayed.
