FR24 upgrade now includes ground ops -
Dubai, Amsterdam, Manchester, Stansted, Funchal, Chicago, Brisbane, Gdansk, Lodz.
A handy upgrade before leaving home for MAN runway ops.

Talking of FR24, does anyone know how, if at all, how are the 'Settings' saved if I alter any of them.

In 'Settings' you will see these new features:
Show ground traffic ( I have this switched off unless i am viewing runways.) Show clouds (Only visible when you zoom out.) Show weather (The weather symbol is clickable for more information.)
Your settings are saved if you allow cookies or you can put an exception for Flightradar24 in your whitelist.

Thanks for I will give it a go and see what happens. How about this GROUND OPS feature mentioned in the first post? Hi LPL. The airports listed in the first post have Ground Ops showing because there are feeders to Flightradar24 near to those airports. We could have Ground Ops showing at LPL/EGGP if someone feeding Flightradar24 was nearer to the airport or had good line of sight of the airport, for instance Frodsham or Helsby high ground. ( Also someone might be close enough to the airport already but have Ground Traffic disabled on their Receiver.

Ah I am with you now. The ground movements does not work too well until you have the screen set to satellite mode though.

A nice new feature on Flightradar24 launched today. Aircraft View, select an aircraft like this one on approach to LPL: www.flightradar24.com/2012-07-16/15:38/RYR5AT and then click on Aircraft View and you get a Flight Sim effect. Its not as good on Playback as it is live, i had to start the Playback at Exeter or you don't get time to look at it. I have watched it for the first time and it has a few bugs, but considering its a Beta version i think its quite good. Quote from Flightradar24 Forum."You will also need to install the Google Earth plugin in your browser to make it work."I did not need to install the Plugin, i use Google Chrome. Enjoy ;D Mike / Speedbird

I just followed Emirates A380 into Heathrow and it did a perfect landing, then carried on over the M25, through Stanwell Village before turning back, crossing 09L and burying its nose in Terminal 5! ;D Still a good development and nice to see they're not sitting back with what they already have; I've always thought FR24 is a very good site. Flightradar24 has added another nice new feature in settings 'Show FAA traffic (beta)' which shows all the flight which are linked to flightstats, coverage is mainly USA.
FAA flights are highlighted in mustard yellow.
Quote from Flightradar24 Forum: "FAA is now available for all FR24 users, but it's still in early beta stadium. FAA data is delayed by 5 minutes (that is why we show a different aircraft color). FAA data is also missing HEX-code, so we don't know what aircraft is flying the route."
Lots of interesting aircraft, maybe we will be able to use it for traffic crossing the pond.

Hi All.
I am hoping that someone can confirm if the route below is still active and what is the flight details of the outbound route.
FR444 RYR444 DUB LPL RYR69EX
Update: i have cross referenced FR444 with LPL arrivals and corrected the route in the Database, also i have confirmed the outbound route: Flight number: FR445 Callsign: RYR445 Alternative callsign: RYR84BU Airline: Ryanair From (F): Liverpool (UK) To (T): Dublin (Ireland)
Your help would be appreciated as i am trying sort all the errors on Flightradar24's Database which affects what is displayed on the map, if you spot any LPL routes on the map that are incorrect please let me know,
I have spent the last two weeks constantly correcting about 3000 Ryanair routes, i have got about a thousand to go,
Ryanair now updated @ 25/8/12, it should be 99% accurate , next i will try to sort out Wizzair.
Thanks in advance, Mike / Speedbird

FR24 have another development with their 'aircraft view' You can now alternate between the view of the aircraft and the cockpit view, overlaid with instruments and a small map. Quite a good development on an already excellent site; they're obviously not resting on their laurels Kev
