Second full week comparison in August 2019 and August 2018. col2=2019 col3=2018 Number of flights by based aircraft 180 184 Number of flights by non-based aircraft 1 1 Total of number of flights 181 185 Number of routes flown 28 29 Number of based aircraft 8 8 Number deps per based aircraft per week 22.50 23.00 Average sector time per based aircraft 2:03 2:04 Number of available seats 60648 63000
Would this mean Easyjet have room another route ( 184 flights to 180 ) or will the new TFS service take care of this. I presume the one route down is Lisbon?

The post is only a snapshot of a weeks schedules earlier in August. The Tenerife route starts in the winter.
If I get round to it I will look at a week in Feb next year to see if there are gaps.

There are about 8 routes easyJet are suspending from LPL and MAN for Jan and Feb, 4 from each base. LPL-FAO, MAN-AGA and MAN-CTA are 3, but I forget what the other 5 are. There are about 30 routes across the UK overall that have this short term suspension.
This is because easyJet want to reduce any losses that this winter could make and these 8 routes were the the biggest loosers last winter.

Doesn't explain really why they can run flight from Manchester ( new route ) for that period. At least Ryanair are available.

It does if they are loss making, as you said there are alternatives available.. I'd rather a route is suspended short term if it means in the long term they are able to operate from Liverpool

Well, the LPL route may not have made as much as the MAN one?
EasyJet clearly have the data to show their decision making process so unfortunately you just have to accept the decision made. Let's not turn this into a 10 page bleat about cutting a 'profitable' route for 'no reason' like you did with Lisbon.......

I'd rather a route is suspended short term if it means in the long term they are able to operate from Liverpool I have booked FR now. I realise travelling patterns alter but I am rather cynical it could be loss making all of a sudden, just my personal experience of using both their routes for 10 years or so. ( Lisbon gone for now ).

At what point should we expect the full flight schedule for 2020, a few destinations missing at the moment
