Just looking ahead and I notice from April there is no afternoon flight on Thu/Fri just the morning and evening flight as per Mon - Wed. I'm not sure if this was planned from the start or not, I would be very interested to know loadings and onward US bookings.

Right from the very first announcement, Aer Lingus were 16 flights per week, twice daily, with an additional afternoon flight on Thursdays and Fridays for the winter period.

I flew on the Thursday afternoon flight a few weeks ago and less than 30 of us where on it. Seemed odd too as all the transatlantic Aer Lingus had departed by time it took off. So no wonder it's quiet, unless it was busier on the return leg maybe. Great flight as alway with them though.

Right from the very first announcement, Aer Lingus were 16 flights per week, twice daily, with an additional afternoon flight on Thursdays and Fridays for the winter period. I presume that Aer Lingus have aircraft to spare during the winter months, good for weekend breaks in either direction - smart idea. During the summer, they can find better utilization for the aircraft by increasing frequencies in various markets. Be nice to see this route thrive enough for them to increase summer flights in future years. Also, with the discussion about transatlantic connections via DUB, it would be nice to see a DUB-LPL departure around noon because if your flight does not connect with the very early morning departure from DUB-LPL, the long connection time makes it totally impractical.

British Airways are now code-sharing on the Aer Lingus flights across the Atlantic.
You can now book flights on BA.com for travel from Liverpool to Boston, Newark, New York, Hartford, Washington, Philadelphia, Orlando, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco with British Airways flight numbers all the way through.
Strangely, BA do not appear to be code-sharing on the Aer Lingus Dublin to Toronto route.

It's not on the BA app though.

Not sure about that but it is available on BA.com. Liverpool to New York was £542 return including taxes and luggage.

Not sure about that but it is available on BA.com. Liverpool to New York was £542 return including taxes and luggage. An even better offer!Note how much the "taxes" etc. are. Excellent price. My price was for 2nd May 2016. But, still an excellent price for the summer months.

I do wonder if the EI Dublin route would not be better served by Aer Lingus Regional?

'Proflyer', tell me, as the "professional flyer" your user-name implies, which you would rather routinely fly on, an ATR-72 or an Airbus A.320?
While you are at it, tell me which one, an ATR-72 or an Airbus A.320 would compete most effectively with a Boeing 737-800 on head-to-head timings?
Might agree with you if you are suggesting a morning and evening A.320, with a lunch-time/early afternoon ATR-72 to create a third daily rotation. Do Aer Lingus main-line and Aer Lingus Regional work that closely and 'share' routes Dublin-UK?

Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional do co-operate on routes. Both Airlines operate on the Dublin to Birmingham and Manchester routes.

Would be good to see EIR operating a middle of the day rotation from and to Dublin and maybe do a W rotation into Shannon (ie DUB-LPL-SNN-LPL-DUB).
