Agreed, but at least it is back from October. Wouldnt bet on it as it finish's early next year, they may not bother restarting it.

With the sad news of swissport announcing 4,500 job cuts across the UK airports,Liverpool must be in for a very big chop
i don’t see how Easyjet will continue to have 8 based planes and Ryanair have 4. very sad times ahead i’m afraid. i worry for my job and fellow colleagues

easyjet will need 7 aircraft for the revised Liverpool schedule. Ryanair only have 3 737s based at Liverpool and I believe this will be maintained for the summer.
With leisure travel expected to steadily increase more so than business then I think Liverpool is in a good place to see a steady increase over time.
Unfortunately, there will be job losses and my thoughts and best wishes are with those affected.

As far as I know its still seven as per my post from early June: Looking at the second week in August 2020, re the COVID19 schedules, it shows that as well as the Nantes route that was mentioned earlier, the Berlin route isnt operating either. The mix for this period is now 3*319 and 4*320 (186 seaters). Last years mix was 4*319 and 4*320 (180 seaters). This mix fits all the days apart from Wednesday but I suspect the times on a couple of flights are not correct. The average EZY aim is to decrease flights by 30% when the flying operation gets back into the swing of things again. The LPL decrease is -35.6% which is about 10 flights short if it was to be -30%. Travelled last Friday to Faro on Ryanair. I have to say im normally more than happy with travel experience through LPL but not this day. I was surprised to see other people walking around the terminal without masks, I saw this in the check in hall and in departure lounge.
When I was in departures I saw someone working for the airport and asked why some people had no masks on, I said I thought it was obligatory . He said it was and would contact the duty manager. I suggested a public announcement to remind passengers. I did not hear one.
At the gate I expected a tempreture check, this did not happen, I asked gate staff who shook their head, and said they werent doing any.
I flew with Ryanair who say masks required to be worn during the flight. This did not happen as a number of passengers removed them. The crew did nothing to rectify this i.e instructing passengers to keep masks on.
I felt stressed by the whole experience, I have sent ' tweets ' to the airport and Ryanair being social media is everything these days. Heard nothing back from either.
This is not how it should be, perhapes someone from airports reads this and implements improvements fast so passengers feel safe travelling .

Thanks for posting that Sivercity, it does not surprise me and sounds par for the course. The British public have decided that they can do as they please since the Dominic Cummings saga ie rules don't apply to them. Liverpool Airport have done little or nothing to protect the travelling public compared to Manchester. As for Ryanair, O' Leary is full of hot air and just wants the money to roll in - I am still waiting for my Sofia refund. I won't be using either any time soon.

The on line Covid instructions for both airports are almost identical, with the exception that MAN is trialling temperature checks at security. Do we have more feedback from both airports to nderstand passenger acceptance of the rules?

It is disappointing but suspect it will take time to bed in. I also suspect that in a terminal designed to handle 6 million pax a year throughput will be low for many weeks making social distancing easy.
How many were on your Faro flight Silvercity?

There was hand sanitizers available all over terminal building and spacing signs at pinch points like security. I must say imagery impressed in Portugal with respect to safety. It is the law to wear a mask inside a building such as shops but also on ferries . It is very evident seeing people disinfectant tables chairs rails sunbeds etc etc. I would expect to see regularly disinfecting around Liverpool Airport's terminal.
