There is enough room to widen the stands and retain numbers,in my view, by utilising the equipment storage area next to stand 10.

Sorry yes I shall explain… Only 2 stand can currently accept the max which is stand 1 and stand 8 However if you want to put the max on stand 4 for example stands 5 and 3 need to be kept clear , and by having a max on 8 stand 7 needs to be kept clear, so all the stands are been redesigned so all the stands 1-10 can take the max. Hope that makes sense There are 2 other stands No.52 & 55, granted they are on "Tango" but they can still be used,unless the airport doesn't wasn't to step on Easyjets toes,If all the stands ie,;1-9 or 10 are too be redesigned the airport could loose one stand, just my thoughts. Stand 52 can’t be used as stand 51 and 53 would need to be kept clear, 53 used to be used but then it was later found the clear way isn’t enough so that got scrapped and yes the southern stands can be used 55,54,56 etc however it’s all about convince and they don’t want to be bussing passengers unless it’s absolutely required

Due respect hangar4 but stand 52 (and 55) is wide enough to accommodate a B767 so can easily take a Max without affecting the neighbouring stands.

I agree with andyh stands51,53,54 and 56 can be used with 52 & 55 in use.

It can be used but if you park a 767 on 52 stands 51 and 53 have to be kept clear !!! And if you park a 767 on 55 54 and 56 also have to be kept clear , And if you put a max on 52 eaysjet then literally run out of room as the airport only use the tango apron & stands 1,2 and 36 for easyjet

Hangar4, sorry but that’s not correct. Stands 51 and 54 can accommodate up to B757 and stands 52 and 55 up to B767 without impacting adjacent stands.

I work in operations here , the clearway isn’t enough yes technically a 767 can go on 52 and 75 on 51 but the clearway isn’t enough and overspills , that’s why then the airport get a 757 like on the 26th it goes down on the CP towards 14/12 for convenience and 9 times out of it they will use stand 55 for a 757/767 for spacing

Does anybody on the Forum have an apron plan showing the current stand No's ( Location etc ) and a new plan showing the proposed stand No. changes Thnks Les McS

Could this "new stand markings" be the 1st apron work since stands 54 to 56 were done?,maybe someone can enlighten me.

nice to see but i'm sure the two principle aims of any airport is to keep and expand existing airlines and passenger numbers while always looking for new airlines to open up new routes.I still find it strange that many years ago jet 2 were about to base 4 units at JLA but changed their mind at the 11th hour.since then, they have not been interested. diluting passenger levels up the road could hardly be used as an excuse now with the number of based units and frequency on sun routes.whenever i have enquired at travel promotions the rep from jet 2 always has the same "we have no intention of introducing flights from Liverpool " Hmm !
