I saw this in today's edition of "CONNECTION" the English language newspaper in France. Normally their content is reliable, but I guess there must be some editorial licence here..... ??
EasyJet EasyJet will be offering flights from Liverpool, Bristol, Belfast Edinburgh and London airports to Grenoble from December
Other autumn/winter routes include:
Liverpool to Lille, Nantes and Toulouse

Would be nice if they reinstated CDG.

Why not Paris Orly? Aren't the connections into Paris the same as at D Gaule?

ORLY would be brilliant instead of stupid Beauvais which for anyone who doesn’t know is the equivalent journey of Liverpool to Blackpool and that’s pretty far compared to Paris to CDG, If they could get ORLY would be fantastic and maybe they’ll pick up PRG as Ryanair don’t seem to be continuing it after this winter. Keflavik would be good too.

Paris CDG is good for International connections ORL is almost as good to get into Paris and brilliant for connections to most other French towns and cities. BVA is good for destinations to the north of Paris Picardy and Normandy, etc. A lot of British people have homes and second homes in those places.

Ideally what we need for CDG or ORY is some sort of Air France link so you can access worldwide connections easily .

The only problem with the connections to most other French towns and cities is the French govt are making AF stop them and force everyone onto TGV

Bucket of cold water time. There are only 2 UK airports with flights to Paris/Orly in September 2021. EasyJet to Bristol, twice weekly, Monday and Friday, while Orly to Gatwick is operated by Vueling 3 weekly in first week of September, twice in the second week then no further flights shown on the site I've just consulted.
Although I've not been able to quickly confirm on a www search, from what I recall, Paris/Orly has restricted operating hours and is severely slot limited. French Government and Paris Airports policy has for many years been to restrict operations to domestic flights, those to French Territories (an extended form of domestic flights), and charter flights. Over the years it seems that some key EU destinations have been permitted as business links. I really doubt that a connection would be permitted to further UK destinations. Paris/Charles de Gaulle operates all the French capital's international flights (other than some to French Territories), so as the UK now falls outside the EU, any return to a Liverpool link to a Paris City airport would have to be CdG - like you I do rather discount Beauvais as being a 'real' Paris airport contender. Maybe if the French Government are successful in getting the French to use the TGV for domestic travel, slots will open up - but the airlines will have a list of destinations around Europe far more attractive commercially than Liverpool, or indeed anywhere in the UK outside of the Capital.
Orly, desirable yes, likely to happen, well just wishful thinking and speculation. Go on easyJet, please prove me wrong!

Been told by our shift managers FUE has been officially dropped by Easyjet and will no longer operate at all now, But will from MAN :/ looks like me and my folks are going there in February with Ryanair now, but looks like Ryanair are doing it now twice a week instead of 1 TUE and SAT .

Interestingly, MAN-FUE is showing as n/a all winter just like Liverpool. So I wonder if MAN will actually operate either?

Told by Leanne (from airline) they have axed the route all together but another route might takes its place. They are looking to get SSH or HRG into LPL next summer but god knows if that will ever come to fruition.
