The marketing will have to be good with only 3 months before the first flight, but great news and a another airline onboard.

If you go to the Czeh airlines website and select United Kingdom as your country, Liverpool does not appear in the drop down list of selectable points of departue or arrival. In fact this is the case for all countries except the Czech republic. This is a mistake but it is not conducive to getting those seats filled.
Perhaps somebody out there can draw this to attention of the airline or the airport. Sorry, I cannot..
Edit
I notice as of this afternoon, this bug has been fixed.......

I have just booked 3 seats to Prague and back with Czech for September, however had a problem doing it via their own website, as comment earlier LPL did not show, however I did a search via skyscanner, details came up, transferred to the Czech Airlines website, and flights are now booked, tickets issued.

Interestingly I have just put in Liverpool to Seoul and a connection came up, not a great one, but maybe there could be onwards cities possible via Prague.

CSA have postponed the launch of Liverpool until June, and halved most fares for the summer. Probably not helped by little awareness of the flight but this news has 'struggling' written all over it.

Czech Airlines and LPL held a launch party last night at the Hilton in Liverpool.

Having checked a few dates in July and August fares seem to be holding up in my opinion (by the time you add the fuel surcharges, etc). I certainly don't consider £145 return a cheap fare for a European City break.

Have they postponed first flight? Can't find anything stating this?

Surely they wouldn't arrange and attend a launch party for a route that was showing early signs of failure and put edible delayed start? They must see some success on the horizon! I must admit though the prices aren't too appealing.

Can't see that. It's been plastered in advertising campaigns all over the place, at least equal to Blue Air's publicity efforts. The lack of interest could be why the previous airline (not sure which one) abandoned the route. Having said that, I seem to recall it was very popular with britt's as a holiday/stag/hen party destination. If so, I wouldn't hold any breath for it lasting beyond the summer.

Which would be a massive blow to the airport IMO

2 flights in May. 22nd and 25th I think. The fares are higher, but include food, drinks and a checked in bag. I went to the launch last night, was a good event. Interestingly if you join their frequent fliers progamme your checked in allowance increases from 15kg to 23kg. They also talked about connections to Eastern Europe and Seoul in conjunction with Korean, which is a big shareholder

I certainly don't consider £145 return a cheap fare for a European City break. I think that's a decent fare, By comparison easyjet first weekend in July BCN £142 MAD £114 AMS £148 CDG £141 and that's without booked seats or hold baggage.
