KLM is reducing frequency on the Liverpool To Amsterdam service.
The service will be reduced from 4 to 3 a Day from 3rd May. The afternoon flight (KL1037/1038 12:55 - 13:35) is being dropped and remains so into the winter timetable (I have checked up to February 2012).

They do appear sometimes to upload its flight oddly sometimes, the Skyteam site has it as four per day.
Could it be they are re-jigging schedules to accommodate an Air France service to CDG?

I received official notifcation from KLM, as we have had to re-schedule passengers onto other flights. It is not a rejigging the flight is definitely dropped.

I know this is probably not the place for this question: but what is this about an Air France service to CDG? From Liverpool?

With AF/KLM being the same company could it be beyond the realms of possibilty that KLM have dropped a service to enable AF to route pax via CDG onto its LH network.

I deal with AirFrance/KLM and Delta on a daily basis and if that was the case any Air France service would be bookable when the KLM or Delta flights had been changed. They are quite a co-ordinated airline group when it comes to schedules and re-scheduling.

They have been slow in the past when announcing new schedules and putting up those schedules ready to book.

OK let me put it another way KLM are reducing Liverpool to Amsterdam to 3 a Day and Air France are not and do not intend to start Liverpool to Paris CDG services.
No one is being slow in uploading new schedules Liverpool has lost a flight, end of!
Incidentally, KLM are increasing two of the 6 Daily Manchester to Amsterdam flights from 80-seat Fokker 70s to 132-seat Boeing 737-700s. An increase of 104 seats a day, in each direction, for Manchester

You maybe right and there is no CDG flight(s), but if you want it putting another way regarding being 'slow' look back on this thread and see the evidence.

LPL, you are clutching at straws I am afraid. Air France, or any of it's franchise airlines, ARE NOT coming to Liverpool anytime soon (unless they divert in).
Whilst the fourth daily service helped increase passenger numbers for KLM between Liverpool and Amsterdam these may have been inflated because of passengers connecting to the Shanghai Expo which was the reason the frequency was increased.
The load factor, however, barely increased and stood at about 55%, well below what KLM would like and what they achieve on most other routes on their network.

You missed the '?' several times in the above posts.
Regarding load factor they predicted 56% (approx 8.1k per month per 3 daily flights, or 10.8k per four daily flights) which is not 'way below' 55% in anyones language.
Given that the January figures returned 23k pax and KLM had 3 daily flights then easyJet must have some amazing load factors!!

I never mentioned what KLM wanted in the past, I am mentioning what KLM require now due to rising fuel prices and costs and whether Liverpool is 55% or 56% it is still well below what is achieved on other KLM routes of similar size and frequency. Whilst KLM predicted 56% it was a base figure which they expected to grow.
Even with the fourth frequency the load factor has remained stubbornly static and the route has never been over 8,000 pax per month when operating a 3 a day frequency.

What are the 'other KLM routes of similar size and frequency'?

Ametyst I think you need to check your stats. The load factor for the last quarter of 2010 was reported at over 70% which is pretty healthy. Also, assuming KLM added the fourth rotation at the start of the summer schedule, March carried 9000 pax on three rotations a day.
Given the significant growth in numbers shown since the addition of the fourth rotation, and that it is less than a fortnight since KLM announced their summer schedules (which included four flights a day from LPL) it seems an odd decision and a short sighted one at that.

Given the significant growth in numbers shown since the addition of the fourth rotation, and that it is less than a fortnight since KLM announced their summer schedules (which included four flights a day from LPL) it seems an odd decision and a short sighted one at that. Thats my point. Its a month since this was stated 'KLM experienced its best six months of service in terms of passenger numbers. The airline carried approximately 83% more passengers for the six months compared to the same period last year, following the introduction of the additional 4th daily frequency to/from Amsterdam in May. This has significantly improved connectivity via their Schiphol hub, enabling passengers to connect onwards to over 800 destinations worldwide.' So thats an increase of 83% in pax uplift for just an increase in 33% of seats.
