;D The movie of the rotordyne was simply great--proves just what could be done in the old days. Everyone should take a look and feel pride in what this small nation could achieve. Pity the backing wasn't there to take it on--but what an aircraft-I forgot that it could perform vertically-I thought it was STOL not VTOL. Who would have needed Chinooks if we had kept that?Would have saved the taxpayer miillions in payments to our competitors. We did not learn hard lessons --still very sad and so will you be when you see just what a great airoplane it was. I had hoped it was still in one piece. Thanks very much to all who have provided information--must go and get a tissue before I drip all over the keyboard.sniff sniff.

What about Sheppards? That was THE model shop when 'I wer a lad'. It was at the start of Aigburth Road near St Mary's Church but went when the road was made into a dual carriageway.
