Bob, not sure if this is series 2 or even 3.......but all have been superb. The last series saw them deliver 2 CL215's trans atlantic to Turkey!!!!! I love Chuck the old engineer......he says it like it is, wish they'd stop bleeping him though!!!! :-)
In my mind, well worth the Sky subscription to be able to watch it!!!!!!
John :-)

John1958, Agree with you re the subscription- the one I watched last night was when one of the pistons went u/s on the Dak. The week before was when they transported the Stanley Cup (Ice Hockey) around the NWT. Great watch. Happy Days Bob

The fantastic thing about this airline is that "youngsters" and I mean young do get to learn to fly properly by old timers and not computer geeks, I mean the combined age of the C46 Captain and Co-Pilot was nowhere near the age of the airframe. Going from Flying school to flying DC-3 C46 DC4 or even Electra is a dream for many. Long may places like this continue. but sadly it won`t be in Europe.

Great show and cast. Mikey suggested 'Hawker' (748) was the DC-3 of europe last episode when DC3 broke down and they charted a Yukon 748. Nice compliment for 748. Is the ATP just as tough?

I have to laugh during this programme when I think LHR cancelled numerous flights "in case" it snowed. This airline has a 40/40/40 minimum and they even then think about it. brilliant totally brilliant.

I'm afraid for me, this is the first time I have felt at a disadvantage not having Sky TV. I have not seen any of these programmes but heard much about them. RT

I would never give Murdoch my money, for reasons which are now apparent to everyone. The first series were repeated on Quest (which is available via Freeview in the UK), and I imagine that the current series will be, too. You're probably too far away to receive it, but here's a link to the station anyway: www.questtv.co.uk/

Ron as you have a PC, type into the Search bar "Ice Pilots" I am sure it will provide a link to the series which is on the net if I find the link to the episodes I will uplift it. ;D www.icepilots.com/episodes.php

Even if you have to sit over a computer screen to watch them.....they are great. The storylines are pretty good, and the aircraft superb!!!! biggles, did you see the one where they were talking about the first -40, meaning the first day on minus 40f weather......yet operations still continue!!!! I wouldn't get out from under my duvet if it were like that!!!!!

Yes that is why I mentiond above the limits for Ops as being 40-40-40 I cant recall what they stood for but one was as you state -40 temp, I think one was wind and the last one ? Work with that at LHR

I wonder if Health and Safety will let the Electra they purchased from Atlantic Airways return over the pond to their base at Yellowknife ?
