Does anyone know what aircrafts type they will use for the route
be nice to see a embraer jet instead of the usual dash 8q which loganair doesn’t have or ATR 72.

Great news. At the tine of me writing this, the Loganair web site is not listing the route. A bit early perhaps. The really good news is that the route is being supported by the Isle of Man heath service so it has a fighting chance of survival.

I'm don't think that an SF340 is an appropriate aircraft to operate on the route as it is too small with unfavourable operating costs. However, I suspect that no other aircraft are available at this time.

One SAAB 340=34 seats(IOM-LPL-IOM) x twice per day =136 seats per day. One rtn. flt.(IOM-LPL-IOM) by dash-8 = 156 seats, that makes by my calculations 20 seats short per day by SAAB 340,i'm thinking SAAB 2000 or ATR-72 size aircraft is needed, but well done the Manx Govenment for getting it up and running in quick time.

At least the flights are now bookable, although rather pricey on some days.

i thought it would of been an embraer 145 seeing as they have the most of those in their fleet.

Interesting. On Loganair web site flights not bookable after March 29th Yes it's a temporary fix until they get something in place on a permanent basis.
