The route has been heavily affected by Ryanair starting Londonderry from Manchester. Plus, the fare wars between easyJet and Ryanair on services between Belfast and the North West.

This was inevitable from the moment Ryanair commenced Derry to MCR. I seem to remember the route started with the aid of some kind of subsidy after another airline perhaps Flybe withdrew. It was all very promising until. ......you know the rest. We have seen it before.

Did FR drop LPL-LDY because they threw their toys out of the pram about something to do with domestic flights, possibly to do with Brexit. I can't quite remember now. They then returned to LDY but from MAN.

Yes,that was it. Post Brexit they needed to have a British AOC for domestic flights and also to operate to Morocco which is outside of EU. So the Marrakesh flight got dropped too. I assume they now have a small fleet of G registered aircraft based at MCR. So perhaps this was the reason Loganair managed to get a subsidy to recommence the route.

Refreshment vouchers were not given out to passengers on delayed flight LM688 on Sunday 3 September 2023.
There was no one to ask There were no announcements about collecting the vouchers. The vouchers were not distributed. I have submitted a complaint to Loganair and Liverpool Airport.
When boarding at the gate I asked why the vouchers had not been given out and the agent for Swissport said "oh, I'm not sure".

They only given out for delays 3 hours 45 mins or more - plus it’s up to the individual airline to issue them.

Wrong. Refreshment vouchers should be issued for delays of 2+ hours. They should be issued by the handling agent in LPL

Is the route operated with a grant from the Northern Ireland office?

I think it was at the outset, after Ryanair pulled the route. Whether or not it still is I have no idea. I would probably guess not since Ryanair have restarted the link but to Manchester.

No Loganair flights on Saturdays all summer to IOM There is up to and including Sat 8 June 2023. After that on first site it stops, but if you put the exact date into the booking engine the flights show up but uses the old FR trick of being 'Sold Out'. I will expect those flights to go on sale in due course.
