Looks to be a long time on the ground here. Could either be timed for connections or a ‘firebreak’ where the aircraft has time to catch up with delays. Usually happens when an airline has a very high utilisation but quite low aircraft numbers. Easyjet used to do it on some of the LPL-PMI-LPL flights where the aircraft had 1h30 on the ground in PMI.

This is great news, it will be interesting to see how the new service does against the 2 Easyjet and Icelandair out of Manchester

Great news. A lot of football traffic too between Iceland and Liverpool. A long overdue route.

KEF is Keflavík (BIKF) RKV is Reykjavík (BIRK) Keflavík Airport serves Reykjavík City, although is a considerable distance away. Long runways, civil terminal and military facilities. Reykjavík Airport is very close to the City of Reykjavík, and has always been unsuitable for scheduled airline jet traffic, although has a small terminal to handle turbo-prop domestic and Greenland flights. General information about Keflavík Airport: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keflav%C3%ADk_International_Airportand for Reykjavík City Airport: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reykjav%C3%ADk_Airport

This is very good news. The destination itself is good. The usefulness of the connections also very good with further potential.Have in the past used Icelandair hub from Paris to Orlando and each time have been well satisfied, so I hope it is the same for this new venture.
