Is the same bloke whom we once visited, and we thought we were having rabbit pie when the rabbit went in the oven, only to be surprised when it woke up from playing dead and hopped out?

Excellent photos John. I like the way the aircraft have been tilted to one side making for more interesting photography. Regards Beemer.

Cheers Brian, got the bug now!!! Here is one, taken at Daytona Beach airport, reg is N1ERAU!!! Really 61-0654, dont know if she's still there though! And not often you see a field full of S-2's!!! This is almost opposite the drome at St Augustine, where Grumman made the A6, F14 and E2.....superb drome, full of frames all over the place, especially if you drive in innocent like and a certain gate is up, you can get right around the front of the plant!! :-) Plenty of tin there for those that like them too. Hope you enjoy John

Hot sunny, planes everywhere, one of the nicest laid out museums, although lots will argue about painting the canopies silver!!! These are the gate guards at Tucson Int airport, where the F16 training unit is based. Hope you enjoy John

Edwards afb, one of the jewels in California, the tour here is superb, many gate guards all over the place, almost every street corner, the airforce do a tour in the morning, and NASA in the afternoon, and you can use NASA's canteen for lunch, very civilised!!!! This is a rare bird indeed. 44-22633, it's a P-59, I believe only 2 were built and the other one is at March afb museum. Now, as you drive from California into Arizona, its a loooong boring road, you pass Yuma MCAS, normal gate guards there, but as you get closer to Tucson, you pass through Gila Bend, and on the left easily visible from the Freeway you will see two F-101's. I stopped to get shots! Got tons of air to grouund shots at DM, we've all seem them before so won't bore you!! Enjoy John

OK, into Nevada now, and the main reason for my trip over there. The USAF 50th anniversary celebrations at Nellis afb. First a stop at Las Vegas McCarran airport to view this old lady of the skies......sadly she was scrapped where she was parked! :-( Then next to Nellis, where amongst no less than 6 gate guards are these treasures......one of my fave aircraft a F105 Thunderchief! A Mig17......no idea on an identity!!! And this bird.......and one in the static display and also a flyting one too!!!!!! Enjoy John

'Alanlomas' should have pointed out that the interesting details in post #95, refer all the way back in answer to posts #10 and #13 on side 1 of this thread.
Took me a while to find the question which had been answered!
