Wizz Air has ordered a further 75 Airbus A321NEO aircraft. This will grow the group fleet to 434 A321NEO's of which 95 have been delivered. Would be great to see a couple of those based at Lpl.

Wizz air do have the intention to grow Wizz uk with the new aircrafts along with the other AOC. Liverpool is on the table however it may only be 1 or two aircrafts with the same routes operated.

Wizz Air UK has certainly had growing pains. They need to earn back some Kudos following the recent bad publicity. Mature the network and then add bases outside of the London area. They need to gain trust with the public and the industry following the debacle at both Cardiff and Doncaster Sheffield.

Not sure if Tirana has been dropped before it has re-started. All dates are shown as sold out from Liverpool. Same applies to planned flights from Birmingham and Edinburgh.
All other routes from Liverpool are on sale and flights from Luton to Tirana are bookable.

Significant issues with Pratt & Witney GTF engines on the 321 NEO mean short term amendments to planned routes.

But, these were known about before Tirana was launched. A total of 6 aircraft will be gounded, one will be taken from Varna and two from Tuzla. I would have thought they would have had spare capacity over the quieter winter period.

No they weren’t. New issues have emerged, relating to rotor discs also used on IAE 2500. CEO models have replaced NEOs in Abu Dhabi and othe4Middle Eastern destinations.

Yes, they have. I flew to Cluj twice last winter and all flights were full. I cannot believe they have dropped the route for the winter.

I work Swissport here and the flights are almost so full. Every flight this summer operating an A321 has been over 200pax. Budapest has seen 220 outbound and inbound pax along with many other routes. Wizz could really be something here and they need to grow on it. Hopefully when they get all their new planes delivered they may consider something.
