Are we still raising that old chestnut, lol. The country voted for Brexit 7 and a half years ago and the number of flights between the Liverpool Eastern Europe have not really been affected.

Wizz is reducing flights to Eastern Europe from both BHX and LBA this year. I know that can be conflated with GTF issues, but that’s unavoidable and I haven’t seen Wizz using that as an excuse.
The market will follow the trend seen with flights between the UK and Canada: a mature market with few new settlers, reducing VFR. It’s not controversial, its just fact.

Yet Wizz and Ryanair are increasing flights between the UK and Eastern Europe over all. Brexit has, and will have, minimal effect to these flights. After all, the doomsayers would have you believe the market would have collapsed in June 2016. And guess what? It didn't.

The market was never going to collapse in 2016 as we didn’t actually leave until 2020. It has had a significant damping effect on growth. I’m quite sure Ryanair offered more than two flights a week from Liverpool to Warsaw, for example, pre-Brexit.

True, but some of the Warsaw capacity has been moved to Manchester. A route Ryanair introduced after Brexit.
Whilst Liverpool has lost Bratislava, Prague, Riga and Vienna, it wasn't because of Brexit, it was because the routes were moved to Manchester.

The average number of Warsaw flights per week in the summer months since 2013 by Ryanair is 3, and by Wizz since 2015 its 3 also.
In the last five years its as follows:
2019 FR 3 W6 3
2020 FR 2 W6 2
2021 FR 3 W6 3
2022 FR 3 W6 2
2023 FR 3 W6 2

Wizz GTF update:
GTF ENGINE UPDATE As of January 24, 2024, Wizz Air had 33 aircraft on the ground because of GTF engine related matters. The company is expecting circa 40 aircraft to be grounded at the end of F24 (including aircraft grounded since September '23). At the time of the press release the Company is maintaining its assumptions for average expected shop visit time needed to return engines back to service of circa 300 days, number of allocated MRO induction slots staying the same (based on agreement with OEM) and is advancing new spare engine deliveries over the next six months. Wizz Air has actively managed its fleet to minimize the impact of grounding, deploying NEO fleet to longer sectors, delivering new aircraft and extending existing leases to shore up the flying capacity. As announced previously, it has secured the OEM support package (including compensation for grounded aircraft) that protects near and long-term operational and financial impact to the business. OEM compensation has been received for the Q3 period.

And now with Wizz Air going to 4 a week to Warsaw this summer, it will be back up to 6 a week and a greater capacity than 2019.

I guess if I was not so lazy, I could trawl trough the timetables, nevertheless, to save me that, can anybody just give me an approx. number of Liverpool departures, all destinations, forecast in a typical wee of the summer of 2024? Just want to get an idea of the size of the operation.

Posted elsewhere that Cluj has been removed from both BHX and LJLA.

The calendar is showing which would normally be removed when a route is discontinued.
Could be they havent loaded the flights/flight changes.
