I've seen on a Manchester Airport Facebook page that their operating hours are being altered to arrivals 06:00hrs to 16:00hrs M to F and departures 08:00hrs to 16:00hrs M to F. Appreciate this is 10 days after the post but I missed it personally. It’s worth noting the operating times listed above are for the terminal operation. The airfield remains open an operational 24/7 for private, emergency and military operations. The terminal can also be ‘opened’ outside of the listed times in the case of diverted aircraft if required.

Understand Wideroe have continued to use Main Terminal (Terminal 1) because loads have been too big for XLR 'Terminal'(Terminal 2) to handle. Good!

To add to that, the Wideroe loads were mainly outbound apparently. On another recent thread it was assumed that the loads were repatriation inbound.

With very few flights operating anywhere, it is more than likely that those who really need to travel will hook up with any means possible even if it is off the beaten track. From May 11th, in France, when the lockdown begins to ease, travellers from "foreign" points of departure face a two week quarantine on arriving in France. This ban is until July 24th. (At least)_ So, that puts the top hat on the arrival of my daughter ad grandsons from Florida. However, specifically, this rule does not apply to arrivals from Other EU countries, Schengen countries or the UK. (Until the end of December 2020 the UK remains in the common travel area. ) nor does it apply to arrivals from French overseas territories which are deemed as part of France and classed as domestic travel.
I imagine these slightly conflicting rules will lead to some abuses and/or some opportunity for confusion/delay and argument at border control where there is any.
For me personally, some good news. The DGAC has issued a decree extending the validly of licences and medical certificated up to 8 months and no longer than December 2020. (A few minor conditions.) This is good because my 2 year bi annual review on sign off passed on April 24th.

The airport must be expecting some restart of operations next week - we go back to fire cover (albeit at a reduced level) for 12 hours a day (7am - 7pm local) from Monday 11th. Currently we have cover for a couple of hours morning and evening, centred on the Loganair Isle of Man flights.

EasyJet have flights available for booking from 22/5, though there seems to be a fairly random pattern (e.g. F/Sa/Su the first week, W/Th/F the following?). Whether they operate remains to be seen.

These have now disappeared from the booking engine (on the EasyJet App, at least) starting again as lfc84 says on 1st June. It’s a moveable feast.

All of the Wizz routes, bar Varna, are due to start next week. The Hungarian/Romanian routes are still set to start next week. The Polish routes are now to start in the last week in May.
