I've been told they are returning next year but they have dropped Belfast/Barcelona. We need to be more positive and not spread rumours. People who matter read this site and are frustrated sometimes how negative some posters are. According to this they are..... Although I agree it is unlikely.

I am sure that won't be enough for them to return next summer. Equally, it may boost easyjet and Ryanair too Hence the 'bit of a'. According to some they are back next summer.

Yes, according to some! Don't hold your breath
The statement also said they would be stopping Belfast to Barcelona but they did not even operate that route.

I am more than aware about which Belfast Airport Vueling operated from. The statement says that Vueling will discontinue the route. They never operated the route in 2016, it finished during 2015.

Gentlemen please, there is nothing to be gained in this 'discussion', which is going back over ground already covered, making pedantic points and clutching at straws.
Until such time as there is fresh information or a meaningful announcement from Vueling, further posts on this topic risk being deleted.
Thank you. Forum admin.

Five weeks to go before Vueling finish their Liverpool flights and still no sign of flights for Summer 2017!

So? Flybe hasn't released its S17 schedule for LPL either, doesn't mean they're dropping Liverpool - IOM does it? We have ended up in a race to release schedules earlier and earlier. Perhaps such an early release isn't always necessary?

Perhaps such an early release isn't always necessary? The difference of course is that Vueling has released its S17 schedule from other UK airports, so it always creates a worry that we are not in its plans, I was hoping they might try something else but we will have to wait and see if that happens.

Vueling has had its other UK flights on sale since April. Only Liverpool is missing or discontinued.

Maybe they are waiting on Easyjet to release before deciding. This route has always been a funny one to me, in that personally I would've though they may have tried something different to an already established route. Was it a case of we have a spare aircraft lets test the water. I would like to keep Vueling at Liverpool don't get me wrong, however to me if they decided to go, would it be a massive loss considering they didn't seem to offer any real competition on that route.

Surely the ability to connect, to Rome for example, is a big plus.

Yes, if you read the post, I did say they have been on sale since April. For clarification, that is April 2016!
You could just use Vueling to fly non-stop from Manchester to Rome!
