Airline disappeared from the airports website so looks 100% they won't return.

Well they`ve gone now so I`ll have my say without fear of influencing anyone with `negativity`.
I NEVER saw the point of this route and thought it was doomed to failure.I did, however, think they would be here at least as long as Norwegian.I will have to be more pessimistic in future! Why go up against BOTH the established incumbents? They must have known that both FR and EZY fly the route and the former go to two airports in Catalunya close by. If they had been driven off by one of the BIG TWO moving on to the route and competing with predatory pricing I would be sympathetic but this just didn`t make sense. Failures like this don`t help anyone. The word will go around the industry that Liverpool is a dead loss.In this case it wasn`t Liverpool`s fault but a bone-headed decision by Vueling...................and what`s with those stupid names??? They don`t mean anything in ANY language. Is that Catalan humour?

Could it not be Ba and their partners pulling these routes after a short period to make Liverpool look less attractive and bad,all these airlines have very good operations at Manchester, makes you wonder why they bothered in the first place,in my opinion along with flybe I wish they had`nt. Let us stick with airlines that are genuinely interested in being a part of our city`s continued growth and not let these other airlines bring us down.

You are so wide of the mark Optimum1878, Vueling will not accept any interference from BA in it's operations. Vueling competes with BA on routes from London to Barcelona, Bilbao, Florence and Rome.
BA could not care less if Vueling operate from Liverpool.
Wadoki, you say Vueling went up against two incumbents on the route. But, they did the same at Edinburgh, Leeds-Bradford, Manchester and Birmingham and they are still at these airports for 2017. I think what let Vueling down was its timings, particularly on a Sunday.

I think what let Vueling down was its timings, particularly on a Sunday. Remember EDI,LBA and NCL were well underserved to BCN carrying only a third of our carryings, So I can imagine those three Airports could give Vueling a better return. At LPL Vueling were against two carriers offering daily services, Perhaps there would have been better routes to try.

What I was really getting at is airlines who start a route and never give them time to evolve before jumping ship, annoying to say the least.

Totally agree, If they were serious they should have give it another season with an improved schedule. With CSA I feel they have been forced off by Ryanairs decision, As for Aer Lingus making a decision after ten months back on the route that has grown over 80% during that time, weird.
